Teen Drinking: Party at Gregg's

It's a problem nearly every parent faces. . . teen drinking. Today there is increased concern about binge drinking and drunken driving. This is one family's story. Bill and Pat Anderson knew their son Gregg was planning to drink on prom night. They wanted him to be safe, so they came up with a solution to have the party at their house. The rules: drinking, but no driving allowed. That's when the cops got involved.

Lets be real... everyone drinks at one point in their life.. a person is not in unless you are drinking... IT's AMERICAN SOCIETY... Lets take a real good look at how many drugs are out there and why people are doing them... maybe because it lets the escape reality of not being able to raise a family on a single income so that the people in Washington can become richer... look at gas prices... let me as you this...when did you get a raise like that... especially every other day....

Parents should be ashamed of themselves who do this and shouldn't even be a parent

First, I don't think comments should be allowed unless you ARE a parent. Second, there are a LOT of countries where drinking is normal. I believe maybe in France or Italy maybe, it is customary to have wine with the evening meal. It isn't taboo there. It's taboo in the US because we make it that way.

TEENS ARE GOING TO DRINK EITHER WAY, SO WHY NOT AT LEAST BE THEIR HOMES WHERE PARENTS COULD TAKE CARE OF THEM? WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE YOUR CHILD BE SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN AND HAVE THE CHANCE OF PASSING OUT OR BEING RAPED?

Regardless of what society thinks parents should do, kids WILL drink behind their backs. They WILL have sex if they want to and there is nothing a parent can do about that unless they never let thier kid out in the world and they homeschooled them. I'd rather see those parents on the news because they wanted to make a bad situation better than worring about there kids on GRADUATION than mourning a funeral because on the way back from the beach they made the worse crash on the streets. It would be one thing, yes, if everytime that boy wanted a party they did that. He's going to college and they were going to no doubt party regardless of if his parents approved or not.

Having the kids at home for the party was a way for the parents to make sure they were alive the next day. Alcohol is easy for the kids to get. They will drink no matter what. The more they drink, the braver they get, so then they get behind the wheel of a car and either they get killed or someone innocent person gets killed. It's a no win situation.

Why am I not surprized? America is a FACIST, pseudo-Christian POLICE STATE in which ``GOVERNMENT KNOWS BEST''. Does it really? Who beleives that? If you do I pity you.

When the teen brat told his Dad he was going to the beach to drink if he didnt host a beer party that is when the Dad should have taken the keys to the car and taken away all forms of support until the brat learned some respect. Parents that let teens rule the roost are idiots.
