Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney has known success in both the public and private sectors: first, as chairman of a multi-million-dollar investment firm and later as governor of Massachusetts. Now, he wants to be the Republican nominee for president in 2008. His path to the White House faces several hurdles: accusations he has flip-flopped on hot-button issues and voter discomfort about his Mormon faith. Mike Wallace has the interview.

Mitt Romney is the rare person in politics that is not a "politician". He is there to make a difference, serve the people of this country, and to try to make this world a better place. He has been extremely successful in all that he has done and we need someone like this to lead our country out of the Bush fiasco. We don't need "more government" from Democrats, we need better government! I am amazed at the incredible transformation that Gov. Romney was able to accomplish in Mass., at the Salt Lake Olympics, and at the Bain Company! This is someone we can trust to lead us with intelligence, integrity, and ability!

It looks like we the American people do not consider seriously the importance of getting our issues get them resolved. Mitt Romney might not be the perfect candidate but deserve a chance like anybody else. Based on his past performance from both public and private citizen of this country on a high level position, the Americans should give him a chance and opportunity to lead this country. Among all the candidates who are seeking to become the next president, Mitt Romney is the most sincere and honest candidate I have heard and truthful how he would lead our country and make it a better place for all Americans and for the world.

I really love these topics however when I press the play button, on Yahoo here, all I see are commercial clips. I don't see any of the Mitt Romney clips and that's what I'm anxious to view. I have no idea as to why when after the commercial clip is played the screen goes either completely black or completely white. No Mitt Romney clips at all!! I'm sorry, but I happen to be one very disapointed Yahoo user! :(

I watch no net work news, especially if it had Katie Couric on it.

Finally there appears to be a candidate willing to stand up to the lobbyists, and curb wasteful spending in Washington. There are 2 ways to balance a budget and remove a deficit, either raise income (taxes) or decrease spending. Romney did it everywhere he was in charge, so I think he knows what he is doing, and deserves a chance. (No demoncrat has a resume of success like Romney) We need someone to bring the American values, border security, and no Amnesty for illegals, back to the US before its too late!

You have to wait a couple of minutes for the videos to come up after the commercials, which is a major disappoinment. I think that both Romney and Clinton would do well in governing this country.

Lets face it...there isn't one faith out there besides the Mormon faith that represents integrity, family values and good old fasion trust. We need someone with these values to lead our country, minimize corruption and to face the issues directly without beating around the "Bush" and expanding our Government. I am not afraid of his Faith and neither should anyone else...what we need to fear is not any faith but the mistrust in Politicans. By the way, I am a Catholic living in Utah. I definitely don't appreciate Mr. Markterzano (see above) in calling the Mormon faith a "Cult"...why is he threatened by anyones faith at all. We need to concentrate on the Politicians values and trust and not where he goes to church. I don't believe in the Mormon faith at all but I do respect their values and I am proud to have neigbhors with that faith. I trust no where in America more than I trust Utah, especially with my children. The sense of freedom, no fear, protection and hapiness that my family and I are experiencing are based by the creation of the people living in Utah, whom happen to be Mormons. May my God bless any Politician or leader who may continue to grant this hapiness to my family and other families nationwide.

The proceeding post on "the Mormon cult" is hogwash! Rather than swallow this bait, hook, line and sinker, I would encourage you talk to some real Latter-day Saints in your neighborhood, attend one of the services if you are brave enough and learn for yourself. The intimidating label of "the Mormon cult" says more about the person who posted it, than it does about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you study his background, Mitt Romney's leadership skills and history of "turn-arounds" is precisely what our country needs and we are in desperate need of a turn-around, in my opinion. I am not any part of Mr. Romney's campaign, just my thoughts.

To those who believe the mormon religion is a cult, try reading some ACTUAL information about the church. Unless you actually have re-searched the church yourself and find an understanding for yourself than you will never understand this religion or what the true beliefs of this religion are. I find it amusing that you base your entire posting on another person's findings. The mormon religion does not believe that they are superior above others but all equal in the site of God. Those that have filled their minds with these absurd thoughts of this religion as a cult are just one sided on the matter. I know of several friends that have joined the LDS religion and due to their decision have lost their family, friends and other social contacts within their former community. The LDS religion does not preach against other religions, unlike some religions that I personally know stand at the pulpit and preach hell, fire, and damnation against this religion. Please do not talk about a religion that you do not have a true understanding of, if you want to know more seek actual knowledgable sources. I hope that in the future you actually research before you speak!!!! I personally am very excited to see Mitt Romney running, maybe the future will be filled with a President with actual morals and standards. Good Luck!
