What is the world coming to? will there be any place that wild life can be safe? There should be, because we could be next to be the endangered ones.

There are ways to coexist with the grizzly. You don't have to kill in fear. If you leave the bears alone, chances are they will leave you alone too. Grizzly attacked in the US are extreme RARE. There are tips too prevent grizzly attack from the National Fish & Wildlife Services. I think human have spilled enough blood & burn too many forest. Why do you think we have extreme wheather changes and severe hurricane along our coastline. Global warming & deforestation. For the comment that guy made about how many bear are considered enough? Enough, when the bears population are restore to their previous number. Will someone lend that guy a book, he look like the uneducated type!

Read the Third Chimpanzee by Jared Diamond. Written 15 years ago, it showed then the impact we human beings have had on our planet. Everything written back then has come true and worse. We may have reached the Tipping Point as a species through our own greed. When Ford created the Model T it was designed to run on ethanol. Greed created oil, gas and ExxonMobil. Greed and ignorance is what will kill us all in the end.

I disagree that the gentleman in the video looked uneducated. He looked just like some hardcore environmentalists that I have seen, but I don't consider them uneducated, just misguided. Personally, I could care less what law is in existence if a grizzly wanders into my yard, it is history I owe a greater responsibility to my family then I do to an animal, and agree with small children around, the grizzlies rights are little further down on the list. While I do not agree with a large scale slaughter of grizzlies, some forethought on the side of the government in protecting it's citizens, to whom a greater allegiance is owed, would not be amiss. And can the rhetoric on all the environmental ills being caused by people, what a crock!

It's unbeilevable how the rainforest and all other animal habitats are being destroyed at such an alarming rate. I hope we all can do something about together. Before it's us on the endangered list.

I have always considered myself an environmentalist. I raised my son to Eagle Scout. I even manufacture a friendly and safe absorbent. The problem with guys like me is, we tend to think about it, too quietly, too long! I think it is a proven fact, enough voices can make a difference. It is my opinion, as a whole, people are well intended, but it does seem, we have more than our share of GREEDY SOB'S!! These are the one's who are thinking, what they can do for themselves to enrich their pockets! The statement, we have reduced our rain forest to 6% should be a HUGE wakeup call to ALL! To carry this thought a little further, how many of your readers can tell a story about a place near them, which now is either a housing development or a commercial development of some sort, which was a beautiful wooded area or a wonderful farm when they were a child. We are loosing trees a an alarming rate to development everywhere in the USA! There was a plot of wooded land near downtown Charlotte, NC, which a developer wished to develop. There is a law here protecting trees. The developer purchased the land, cut every tree off the land and was fined for this, He paid the fine, then sold the land for a huge profit! What does that say about how much we care about saving our trees?! This is becomming a common way of doing business. It is cheaper to break the law and pay the fine. As long as we think like this, our forest will continue to dimenish, the green house effect will continue to grow, the ice will continue to melt, the water will rise and the land will shrink, and the developers will then stand up and say, "We need to do something about this! I'm loosing money!!" Why does it always have to be too little, too late? Because thousands of people like me kept their mouths shut and let it happen! Well, I think I have had about enough. I believe I will start voicing my opinion! Won't you join me, PLEASE?!! Tom Stone President Spill Control Technology International, LLC Kannapolis, NC 28083
