Simon may not have a lot of tact, but he is almost always on target. The contestants can learn a lot from him. BH

Simon does not have tact because he is not really an ethical person. He promotes the politics of personal destruction, not necessarily being "honest." If he were honest, he could give constructive criticism, but instead he chooses to personally target and humiliate individuals. Is that the persona of a smart, lovable, or honest person? Maybe that's what works on the other side of the Atlantic.

If I were trying to learn to do better at anything, I would prefer honest, if harsh, criticism (Simon) to empty flattery (Paula).

I love Simon. But the night he called that young man Bush Baby, he was way out of line. NO ONE has the right to make fun of someone who can not help their looks ! Lost alot of respect for him over that comment. What goes around, comes around!
