Whatever your politics or your position on Iraq, it is wonderful to see such a brilliant woman in a high profile position of power. As a black woman who grew up in the segregated south as Condi Rice did, I am very proud of her. She has a right to do what she is doing and benefit from the sacrifices of the many who have gone before her to make it possible. MM

I was very impressed with the interview with Couric and Condi Rice. I, too, lived across the street from history- my dorm room was across the street from the site where the African-American girls were denied entrance at the University of Alabama. I am so happy to see an in-depth view of Rice and her life in Birmingham at the time. She is a great American; not only is she a great female role model, but also she exemplifies pose, intelligence and the "philo" love that God calls us to share with mankind. Kristi Frenier-Connell

Katie did an excellent job on interviewing Condi Rice. Through this interview I was able to see the personal side of Condi. She seems like a very nice, sincere and intelligent woman. I watched 60 miniutes for this interview only and I am glad I did. Thank you for a job well done. LIsa from NY

Ms. Rice is indeed both intelligent and charismatic. She would likely make a capable CEO for a medium to large corporation. Unfortunately, her hands-on foreign relations experience comes as her boss George W. Bush leads our nation down a blind alley. Our nation, indeed our society, has never been at a lower level of world respect. Sadly, Ms. Rice will forever be linked to the most divisive and inept administration this country, possibly the world has ever endured.
