A Global Warning on Global Warming

The top of the world is melting. There's been a debate burning for years about the causes of global warming, but the scientists you're about to meet say the debate is over. The seas are rising, the earth is getting hotter and polar bears may be headed toward extinction. What does the melting Arctic look like? 60 Minutes Correspondent Scott Pelley went north to see.

People need to stop rewarding their friends and family with praise for acts of materialism and greed. Cant anyone see that possesions cant bring you love, they can only cause you more pain. Everytime you buy something you should be asking yourself what the true price of it is. Change your life. Dont just be another consuming zombie, that's what the corporations want. Origanality is knowing that you don't need all this human exploiting, environment desicrating crap, and making a difference in the world.

What in the world is wrong with you people????? God said there would never be a flood that would cover the earth again so why worry. Anyway another thing I don't understand is why people think the world has just stayed the same. HELLO! There was the Ice Age, huge craters, canyons that have been shaped by wind, blah, blah, blah!!! The earth has been changing since it was created I'm sure! SO to worry is such a waste of time!!! Our lifespan is only like up to 115 years if your very lucky so people just need to start obeying God and be grateful for the life he's given us. If we accept him we can live for eternity or we may choose to live this short life disobeying him and go to hell.

Although I doubt god has anything to do with this argument, changes in the Earth's climate are constant and unavoidable, just like our everyday lives. Do we contribute to climate change? Yes. Are we likely to survive? Yes. Instead of wasting our time trying to make things the way it used to be, how about focusing on how we are going to live in the next century with the new oppurtunities presented to us.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for mankind to destroy this planet. This whole global warming "scare" is the same BS the anti-capitalist movement tried back in the 70's when they said an ice age was threatening our world. We'd better do something now or else it's the deep freeze for us all. Guess what? Didn't happen. That was then, this is now. Now it's just the opposite. I have NO doubt that the polar ice caps are indeed melting. I do NOT doubt the scientific findings if they can be proven. What I DO doubt is "who" is to blame for it. Greedy rich selfish Americans are not to blame for ALL of the world's problems and certainly we are NOT melting the ice caps by driving to work everyday. Just as these liberal Nazis have attacked smoking and smokers, they are attacking Americans--that's you and I--because "we" are the only ones who live life to excess. We have too many houses, too many cars, too many of this, too many of that, etc., etc. They of course are not to blame as naturally they exempt themselves from hypocrisy at all levels. Global warming is a NATURAL occurance of our planet. Climate changes are a NATURAL occurance. It's stupid to even suggest that just because this year's summer was "hot" that it's global warming. I'm sure that is was just as hot 500 years ago in Death Valley (when there were NO SUVs). We can't stop climate change. The planet is a life cycle in itself. That is a fact people. Besides, we'll probably all get extinguished by a huge meteor anyway, so get over your anti-American, Michael Moore liberal garbage and go about your life and STOP worrying about what others are doing with theirs!

These alarms are incompetent, coming from incompetent people. A few years later they are always proven wrong, but then they have a new issue, which "this time we're right for sure". There is no global warming and sea levels are not rising. This is coming from the communist Left, which is incompetent at science and hates technology. Yes that's what has always been behind 60 Minutes. They won't let you hear the other side. Do not worry. Global warming is not proven by localized events. It does not exist - that's the point.

According to the national science acadamies of the U.S., Canada, and all of Europe, as well as every professional science organization that addresses global questions, global climate change is real, manmade, accelerating, and likely to cause changes that are extremely expensive to deal with. In spite of this, no nation-state or organization of nation-states has proposed changes that are adequate to deal with the problem. When the consequences are dire enough to be obvious to the majority of the world's population the backlash is likely to end the nation-state as we know it.

How much more proof do you morons need that think there is no such thing as global warming? Look at the pollution this country produces, due to the greedy bastards of corporate America and the materialistic consumers who support them. You can only abuse something for so long before it gives up its ghost. How long do you think you can abuse your body with drugs, alcohol, fatty foods, lack of exercise, etc. etc. before it finally turns on you? We are abusing our planet much the same way many abuse their own bodies. Certainly not what God intended to be sure.

The climate may be changing, but to credit puny humankind, I have my doubts.
