Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin is one of America's finest actors, moving with ease from the stage to movies to television. He has mastered dark drama, slapstick buffoonery and much more since his career took off in the 1980's. He's also made headlines for his liberal political views and his painful divorce from actress Kim Basinger. Morley Safer has the interview.

Baldwin should stick to trying to act. Since when does the general publics willingness to share their money with him (pay him to act like buffoon) qualify him to sound off on things that he has no impact on and abet our enemies by trying to discredit the leadership chosen by this country.

Whoever wrote the above comment is an idiot. I will tell you what qualifies Alec to speak about issues here on this planet. The answer and it may be shocking so sit down and brace yourself: He was born

Being born qualifies one to speak.

more people than you'll ever know share baldwin's views and so many of us are in the "conservative" midwest. we have as much interest in the world and the U.S. government's policies that impact it as anyone in D.C. You go, Alex.

Alec Baldwin's view don't have to be defended. They're moot as far as I'm concerned. None of my business. He has the right to speak... and I have the right to change the channel. It's a wonderful country.

What's he still doing in this country anyway? He swore he would move out of the country if Bush got re-elected. Why would I believe anything else he said?

Actually I think Alec changed his mind when he found out bush was moving to paraguay, and is waiting for him to move so he doesn't have to. Bush can then plague the south Americans, from a very special country. As for Alec's disposition, perhaps he has learned a lot these past years and still can raise a smile, even perhaps bring out the humor in some of us. He is priceless, a national asset, and I vote he run for president, even asleep he would do a better job.

What do you care if he said he would move if bush got re-elected I am still in shock the people of America voted for him twice and I am suprised all Americans are still living in this country since it has been taken hostage by war criminals. What are you doing about making this a better country at least he is active in trying to make this country better and not destroy it like the current administration

On the 60 Minutes Interview - I guess fathers who love their little girls expect their smart, difficult young daughters to have more on the ball than they do. This child was torn out of Baldwin's life. Even we fathers who've come from working class backgrounds expect that through our basic understanding of family loyalty and respect and love of Dad, to have that value transcend the viscious angst of divorce and manipulation of children by their managing conservators, frequaently the mother. Morley Safer was a sanctimoneous, judgemental liar. I'd like to have a drink with one of his kids.
