Derek: A Musical Savant

Twenty-eight-year-old Derek Paravicini can't tell his left hand from his right. He is severely disabled. But when you hear him play the piano, you will be astonished. Correspondent Lesley Stahl spent some time with Derek and Adam Ockelford, the teacher who helped Derek develop his talents.

this shows how little we understand about the human mind and it's potential. I think we all have these capabilities within us.

videos take too much time. I want just a print story, or both so those who like each can have. I do work in the area of Derek's amazing ability, but now I have to search all over net and print media for an article. I watch none of your video news, or Brian Williams or anybodies - it must be the "kids" but it is a time consumer with ads, whereas I am a super fast reader!
