Battleground: Ohio

Voters in Ohio have often played a large part in determining the direction of a presidential race. Ahead of the March 4 primary, Steve Kroft visited Ohio's bellwether town of Chillicothe. He spoke with Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and with voters evenly split between the two.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • No one has won the presidency without winning Ohio since John F. Kennedy did it nearly 50 years ago.
  • If the Democrats had carried Ohio in the last two presidential elections, they would have won the White House.
  • In the past eight years, Ohio has lost more than 200,000 manufacturing jobs and the state's median income has fallen by nearly 10 percent.
  • If Ohio were a country, it would have the 25th largest economy in the world, just behind the Netherlands.

The Western Media are unnecessarily bias on the coverage of USA elections campaign. The media war against Clinton is comdemned as it is unacceptable. She remains the USA hope for the future of the nation. Tsekaa from Nigeria.

Hillary is not to be trusted and plays on female emotions when needed, which is very unlike her. Obama is the unknown and equally well can not be trusted, as he changes his words as the wind blows, MaCain is the only steady in this race. /wags from Ohio

I am sure of Hillary's background, but believe that Barry is not what he seems to be, and change is only in the eye of the beholder. Once elected, the president will find that teamwork is the only thing that will help in all these issues.

Clinton does not respect our military, she as much as called our top general a liar. We in the military do not wish to salute her as commander in chief......Please vote for someone else........

I disagree that the media is biased against Hillary. Obama just has a more positive message that everyone is responding to.

What Hillary gets is what Hillary deserves. But at least in the USA the media has the right to express itself.

Who really cares about Clinton or Obama? Let's face it, our country is in w time of war. This calls for republican leadership and experience. John McCain is the only answer to our middle east opportunities. Clinton is an idiot, and Obama? What experience does he have with middle east affairs except for his name being very similar to that hidden piece of trash that is playing hide and go seek in caves. Do your country a favor, vote REPUBLICAN!
