She's just an amazing woman, who never gives up on herself, where others had. The world is a little brighter in the eyes of chidren because of her books that wisk them away on magical adventures. I only wish that she had some of her own beautiful drawings in the Harry Potter books, because no one could capture the moment of the story as well as the creater of the book. She is a challenge to other writers to create stories for an age group that is too often ignored by writers. Its a wonderful thing with a person succeeds at something they love, all the while inspiring others along the way.

Magical! An excellent primer in storyboarding and laying out a story vs. just sitting at the keyboard and writing. Her books work so well because she is so disiciplined in every element of hr writing. Leslie Stahl was annoying. When will she learn the segment is not about her and her questions. When Ed Bradley interviews, he is not there and the subject reveals all. Also, can anyone imagine walking the grounds of Edinburgh Castle in high heels and a tight skirt, at her age?!?!? Gimme a break. No wonder Joanne would not let this lot in her home and filmed only in the coffee shop and a couple of exterior shots. Congrats for keeping your private life private while giving us an amazing look into how these characters charm all of us regardless of age. 60 minutes could learn a lot about planning a story from her instead of winging it onsite. Well done Joanne for making them such a perfect foil.

I am a single mother. All i can say is that she grasped her outstanding character as a Woman and took it where she never knew it was going. THAT is magic.

I thank J.K. Rowling for being kind enough as to let her imagination and ideas be read rather than keeping them in her mind. I think the Harry Potter series is a great story(there's still more to come) and I love it. At first I didn't want to read the first book, I was younger, probably in 6th grade when it came out. But I decided to read it and am forever hooked. It never gets old when I pick up a certain Harry Potter book and read it for like the 5th time. It's funny, it's dramatic, it's (of course) magical and addicting like a soap opera only so much more appealing and better!!! I love the energy that everyone seems to get off of this series and as well as I, it's so.....magical. Again many thanks to J.K. Rowling, I couldn't have picked a better book to get hooked on!! P.S.- Whatever the 7th book entails I think all the fans and myself cannot wait! Cheerio!

Thank you so much for your wonderful stories. When your series came out it was something my sons and I could both read and enjoy. My mother, siblings and their children all have enjoyed the books, they are so multigenerational. Please say that we will be hearing more from you when this collection of books is completed.

My son only read when he had to. I had to push him to meet required reading in school. Then I talked him into starting the Harry Potter books. He finished the first one in less than a week! It changed his whole attitude about reading. Now he comes home and shares what new book he has started and what he thinks of it. It's great. I think that any book or author that can get kids to read is amazing and should be congratulated. It truly is a great series.
